great job…delivery was simple, concise and extremely clear. Kudos!
Can't find Cinelike option on the app. Only Normal, HLG and D-Log. Where is it?
This was actually really well composed. Good info that I will put into use tomorrow.
I have searched several videos on this topic and most tell you what to set it on but did not explain why. This video does. Thank You !!
I got great results with Dlog and +1 sharpness here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHax5ZdIucs
PS GREAT VIDEO
sorry to ask, my only color options are Dlog-M ,HLG,NONE where do I find D-cinelike?
Informative video by the way!
The video you mentioned about here for the settings, did you say they're called The Film Poets?
Regarding manual focus… Do you first start in AFC, tap the screen to focus on an object that needs to be in focus in the scene, then switch to MF for the remainder of the flight? (btw, thanks for this video.)
I'd like to see this the the Mavic 2 pro as well
thank you for ur instruction
So I film the whales in Hawaii each year. Is there a problem you can see with filming everything in 4k 80 fps? You just never know when a bugger will make a full body breach which would look great in slow motion so I film in 80 fps always. The lack of motion blur has never been a problem as these whales are so large even a fast breach or tail slap looks like slow motion.
i have a question.. how do you slow the video filming from moving left to right and right to left.. my mavic pro moves soooo fastttt… ???
Still don’t understand the reasoning behind 24/25 fps I understand the US is 24 & here in the UK is 25. Please could you shed some light on this issue for me & probably many others who watch you
Thank you for the brilliant tutorials keep up the good work. I have found them invaluable.
i was wondering if u know what settings i would need to put my gopro to match the settings you have for drones. Im not sure if im going to color grade yet because thats alot if extra work n learning. I put the mavric at -1-1-1 d-cinelike just like your video. Im not sure if i should change it if i dont plan to colorgrade? But i want the film colors to match at least. If i need to learn color grade then no choice. Any tips will help thx
As a new flyer and knowing zilch about the photo side : thanks for an excellent summary piece : top notch.
Stewart, you're my hero. Just 3 weeks flying with a intensive immersion in your videos and I'm getting footage that is blowing my mind. A massive thank you from down under. This video was shot in 1 hour this morning, using your recommended techniques and settings, no filters. https://youtu.be/IJ5abtg1a34
My footage looks cloudy but its a sunny day, ive tried messing with the wb and iso but it still doesnt look clean but rather fuzzy. Am i missing something To make it sharp
Great video, loved it! I've been flying my Mavic Pro since Dec 2016 but still found this very helpful. Thank you
thankyou my brother
When you talk about the noise reduction issue on the Mavic, is this a firmware thing? I mean, seeing this video is 9 months old this might have been resolved by one of the newer updates?
Hi great Video here. I will say that shooting at a +1 you do get the noise issue that can only be fixed using Neat Video which takes a very long time to encode but is worth it because it give you the best color and detail. But I disagree that shooting in D-Cinelike does not give you the dynamic range of colors that D-Log give you and is easily fixable post edit by using a LUT. D-Cinelike is the next best thing though for those that do not want to do post work.
You really helped me get rid of the cinematic intelligent flight mode. Thanks. Here is my footage https://www.instagram.com/p/Bg_BpGdhT7O/
HI, congrats for your video! is very nice! I m a new user of mavic pro, (my previous was Xiaomi 4k) so my problem is when i m trying to do a manual orbit my mavic is loses the high and distance of my target. i m trying to fix it with exp, and sensitive settings but nothing.. can you help? have you any idea? ( i ve already do a imu calibration, my gps has 16-18..)
Good video thanks! I fly mini quads with a gopro session 5 and a hero6 black and did my first cinematic video last week and i wanna add some mavic shots into my next video and this will definitely help https://youtu.be/fcr27mC7Y68
Excellent. ive subscribed and look forward to checking out more of your videos. Just about to get a mavic pro as upgrade for ph3 advanced after building my own aerial platforms many years ago. Technology has moved so quickly!!
Great Vid!! I wonder: do you never experience 'flickering' in the videos of the Mavic Pro? How to prevent this flickering?
Always love your videos. Informative and interesting. I've learned a lot from them. Is that truck BACKING down the highway at 1:07? 😉
Hi thank you very help full, the only thing and this could be language thing English being my second language but the Focus AF/MF is still not clear for me what would be best for beginnerbut easily one of my favorite YouTube tutorial, i am inDivisor(J-P)
Thanks a bunch. Great video!
Does mavic pro has 60 fps in 2.7k?
So useful bro! Thanks for the advice! definitely will be using some of your settings!
hi, Could you send me the link for a video with the exact steps how to make this smooth and hazy title animation. Or if you have it as a template or in file I could use also would be a big help! thanks so much!
Excellent tut, straight to the points without wasting the viewers time.
How do I choose between the 2 4K modes on the Mavic Pro? 4096 vs 3840. I understand both are 4k
Great video! Thank you. The depth of detail was very helpful. Out of the box, the Mavic, is a bit overwhelming; particularity video settings. You've provided a nice baseline to continue to experiment with. Nice job; separating it all out!
Great stuff. Another go to vid for the beginner.
I wish they’d add the ability to change direction of the gimbal tilt control! It seems backwards to me.
Very informative video. You have a firendly screen presence. Wish i had seen it before my recent trips to Iceland and Greece. Liked and suscribed.
You guys are great! Wonderful tips. Thanks.
Please tell us the use that you will make of this photo and we will put you in touch with the author
