An aerial video recorded during my stay in this beautiful place in Brazil called ILHA GRANDE.
We spent 7 days on the island going to the most gorgeous places; from the Pico do Papagaio to Ilhas Paradisiacas and all the fantastic hikes we could fit in between. And of course, I brought my drone with me wherever I was going.
We were lucky to get a great weather through the week in the winter, only a single cloudy day.
The Island is on the coast of Rio de Janeiro and remains largely undeveloped. So many sites on the island are closed to tourism business, only researchers, scientist and students are allowed in certain areas. Fauna and Flora are rich, the beaches are incredibly beautiful; I hope you enjoy it all in this short film I put together.
The shots in this short film take place in Vila do Abraão, Cachoeira da Feiticeira, Palmas, Lopes Mendes, Dois Rios (including prison), Abraãozinho and nearby beaches, Ilhas Paradisíacas (Praia do Dentista, Piedade, Cataguás, Botinas).
I also flew the drone over the highest point on the island, the Pico do Papagaio, but unfortunately it was too windy and the shots weren\’t good enough to put in this film.
Thanks to my beautiful girlfriend who supported me to take the drone wherever we went and fly it wherever we were. Even passing it to me when there was no sand in some islands and the water was at my chest!
