The Latrun Monastery, monastery of the Silent Monks, is the only Trappist Monastery in Israel. It is located at the top of a hill in the Latrun Salient with a fabulous view of the Ayalon Valley, overlooking the road between Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem. This place attracts lots of travelers by its great location as it’s close to the Holy City and such places of interest as Mini Israel and Yad La-Shiryon Museum. There are vineyards and olive trees, and the monks make and sell unique wine and grape juice.
