This photo was taken right before I popped the question while paddling this Gorgeous lake in Slovenia. This magical Lake BLED is the warmest alpine lake known to date, with both hot and ice-cold natural springs throughout. Perfect for SUPing all season long, giving us a different perspective and a great way to research the area during this beautiful colorful autumn season. With Slovenia having banned all gas powered boats from all natural and man-made lakes, It felt like stand up paddling was made for this unique place.
Being that place had a special place in our hearts, this was the perfect place to surprise my girlfriend with an unsuspected proposal while paddleboarding in this beautiful lake.
With us traveling and filming all of our experience this looked like another traveling shoot to her, which helped out with the surprising part. The follow me option on the drone helped out A LOT so to capture this special moment for us in pictures and video as well.
Waiting for the sun to be on the right side, and for us to have a view of the beautiful church on this small unique island in the middle of the lake, just made this moment a bit more special for the both us.
