Unless you are from Kansas, odds are you've never heard of the Flint Hills before. Extending from Manhattan Kansas in the north. down to Oklahoma, the Flint Hills are a series of rolling hills and exposed outcropping of 250 million year old limestone and shale. One of the largest uninterrupted tallgrass prairies in the Nation, the Flint Hills are pure magic at sunrise and sunset.
Filmed with a DJI Phantom 4, edited and color graded with Sony Vegas. The majority of this film was shot in fully autonomous, hands-off mode while other portions with full piloting controls. Flown with DJI Go and Litchi apps. Portions of the film have been sped up to compress the time over the vast distances covered. Flown within visual flight ranges, max altitude 375ft AGL.
