Desert Tower was built in the 1920’s and has changed hands a number of times. It is currently owned and run by a great guy named Ben. From the top of Desert Tower you can see all the way across the Salton Sea. My then 8-year old son shot this picture from his Parrot Bebop. He had already used up pretty much all of his batteries on flying over the rock formations, but pulled the Skycontroller battery out, swapped it for an almost dead Bebop battery, and got his drone up in the air for about 30 seconds before it landed automatically, but before he went from “warning” to “critical”, he got this shot.
