During the winter season this becomes one of the most iconic ice climbing venues in North America. It’s named the East Vail Falls but it is more widely known as The Fang when frozen. It sits in a tiny U shaped cut of the mountain. There is typically a swirling wind inside this area so flying here requires a steady hand and knowledgeable pilot.
