This is a picture of my parents-in-law’s farm in Kanchanaburi, Thailand. My father-in-law is a wonderful man. He has, in the 15 years I’ve known him, built houses from the ground up, farmed corn, ginger, rice, sugar cane and probably a few things I can’t remember, raised chickens, frogs and fish for food, and been a wonderful grandpa to our son. My mother-in-law, who very sadly passed away during this trip, was the best mother-in-law a man could ever want. She was kind, always thinking of other people first, and when she passed away people came from all over to pay their respects: on bikes, crammed in the back of pickup trucks, and even walking. I will miss her very much.
