Ode to the Fallen is composed of only two different shots. I wanted the viewer to feel the emotion of the cemetery and feel a sense of respect for this sacred ground, thus the long slow revealing shots with the Inspire 1 drone.
It’s been quite the adventure emotionally and geographically exploring where my Grandfather fought during WWII. It culminated this month when I returned to Italy to film the Florence American Cemetery for the American Battle Monument Commission (ABMC).
