My wife is from Thailand and her sister managed to talk the owner of this place into letting me fly my drone. Safest take-off point was right next to a Bangkok motorcycle gang. They were quite friendly and funny, so we all had a good time.
I'm a patent and trademark attorney at InterContinental IP (www.icipLaw.com) whenever I'm not flying my drone. We own a small resort in Thailand (Thai-West Resort) and I get over there a few times a year to fly. Whenever I travel on business, I always try to bring along my drone.
