DJI Spark, Mavic Pro/Platinum or Phantom 4 Pro/Advanced? [4K]

  1. After reading reviews, I decided to take a safe approach to my new X11 propel drone. I removed the propellers and followed this videos instructions and everything seemed to be fine until the motors slowly started to speed up and wouldn't respond to the remote. Then a diagonal pair decided to stop completely. This was in 4 channel mode ~70% power. I turned off my remote and after a few seconds the drone finally stopped. I decided to try this in 3 channel mode. Plugged in the battery into the drone. Turned on my remote. Up down throttle stick until it syncs. Then I switched to 3 channel mode ~40% power and the drone wouldn't even start up the motors. There are some serious bugs with this drone model that need to be worked out. I do not recommend it.

  2. crashed mine 5 minutes after watching the video))) lost control, hit a building, fell on a cement staircase and one of the "wings" broke off. the wire didnt rip though, ill just glue it back together

  3. Mines broken I slightly touch the throttle and it flys up to outer space and then crashes all over the place will I’m not even touching the throttle the lock altitude doesn’t work for me

  4. I’ve had mine for like 2 years, First one. Not disappointed at all. Love this little thing. The alt hold is great, and its been very stable. haven’t had any issues other than breaking it a few times being crazy. Superglue the arm back and it flies again just fine. Ive upgraded a few times so it doesn’t get much flight anymore. Whipped it out today just because and the battery no longer holds a charge.
Not having much luck finding cheap replacements. Thinking of maybe getting a higher cap battery and wiring it in and velcro it to the bottom. Anyone mod this thing yet?

  5. I got one at Walmart, yestrday, it is actually easiest it seems at 100% and 4 channel. 3 channel as way less intuitive because you can't turn left or right like you want to you have to spin the thing before turning. 3 channel basically adds an extra step. Most people find 3 channel harder, I have some experience though, my wife wouldn't let me spend more than $100 on a drone after the camara and gps went out on my last one that I dropped $700 on and it got lost somewhere accross town lol. So I have a little experience but this drone seems pretty stable, and if I loose it I won't have to hear about it lol. Last thing, the guy in the video uses his thumbs. That is not the way to control it. Every drone pilot will tell you to pinch the knobs. You would think they would know something that simple.

  6. I have 2 of these. Worked with controllers day 1. Then after that won’t sync anymore. One of them tries but loses it pretty much right away.

The phone App works with both and they fly well.

Would love to use the damn controllers though.

At the end of the day I wouldn’t recommend this for beginners. To much hassle to get things working properly.
