“Het Fort voor het water” is a work of art, a form of land art, by Jeroen van Westen, located between Emmer-Compascuum and Roswinkel. It is part of the art project Was signed, de Runde and was the only work of art realized in 2005. It is located in a meander of the Nieuwe Runde, created as part of this work of art. The artwork consists of the following elements: earth, water, weathering steel, lexan plates, water pump and a network of tracks allows visitors to walk to most features of the reserve.
