Richard Zampella (Producer/Multimedia Editor) is a multi-disciplinary producer based in the tri-state region of New York City. Along with writer/director John Mulholland, they recently completed a documentary on writer Elmore Leonard entitled “But Don’t Try to Write” which explores how Elmore Leonard influenced more writers in the past fifty years than any other.
Zampella & Mulholland’s previous film, Cooper & Hemingway: The True Gen is narrated by Sam Waterston and was reviewed by The New York Times film critic Andy Webster. It was selected as a NY Times Critics’ Pic by Manohla Dargis, A. O. Scott and Stephen Holden. Webster said the picture was proof that the work of these two men "endures and so does what they stood for".
Earlier collaborations with John Mulholland include: Sergeant York of God & Country (for Warner Home Video—Narrated by Liam Neeson) and Inside High Noon (Lions Gate Entertainment—Narrated by Frank Langella).
