Visual Artist who works with photography. Right now working with drones in a new project named Aeronautical Charts. Statement below: "The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes". Marcel Proust. An aeronautical chart is a representation of the earth, its reliefs and constructions, which is merely designed to provide pilots the necessary information in order to assure the aircraft operation. All of this taking into account the current flight phase they are going through. Aeronautical charts provide a flat view, where the elements of the overflown space become abstractions. It is the only ocation when the horizon dissapears from the pilot´s view. I use a drone and a gopro camera to make a series of photographs of places I´ve been to previously. Places that keep an important meaning to my life. Through color, I change the meaning of the image, by using a code to assign values (tones) in order to assimilate textures and shapes inside my imaginary. From this action, I seek to question the veracity of my perception in regards of the code-decode process that begins in the device registration (drone) and flows to the perception (filters). My objective is to re-crate a new image of the space, adding new meanings to my previous experience.
