Kereru Farm

After photographing sheep being driven from the hills to the sheds for shearing, I decided to take some images of the 800 sheep in the pen. I flew the drone in from 100 metres and descended very slowly, so as not to alarm or frighten them. At about 4 metres they became aware of the drone and began to look up at it. Almost all of them stared up at it and continued to do so for a couple of minutes. Normally sheep have no interest in anything much and holding their attention for more than a few seconds is almost impossible. But on this occasion, the white whirring phantom drone won them over.
