The lake is close to Lake Ercina Enol and together form the group known as Lagos de Covadonga in Asturias, Spain, within the National Park Picos de Europa.
This lake is smaller than the Enol lake, and its cubic capacity is also floor. The Ercina lake is 1,108 m. altitude and its maximum depth is 3 m.
The features of similarity with Enol lake are linked to their origin (both have a glacial origin) and of course, their geographic location, because both lakes are separated by Pillory of Enol mediating between them closer than six hundred meters.
