Warm temperatures have accelerated the late winter melt on Lake Minnetonka in Excelsior, Minnesota. Gone is the snow pack and fish houses as we now anxiously await ice-out likely still a few weeks away. On the shore, a nature photographer is taken for the ride of a lifetime. This film was shot on the 14th of March 2015 – Pi – 3.14159265359.
Filmed over Lake Minnetonka with a DJI Phantom Vision 2+, the majority of the film was shot hands off in fully autonomous mode flying a series of pre-programmed waypoints, while other portions were captured hands on with full piloting controls.
