How do the fires jump over trees, burn the house to dust then jump over the trees again to the next house? I've looked at much footage over the past year of the various fires and all look the same.

At 1:17 can anyone tell me why the house is burnt to the ground but all the trees in the front yard and back yard are fine and the two houses on both sides are fine. Surely the dry trees and bushes go up first? Or am I being stupid because that makes no sense what so ever. I have seen other footage of all the houses burnt to the ground and all the trees still standing around them. It does look like targeted homes.

These fires are not isolated to just California or even the United States – these very same type of fires are happening a a number of other countries as well.
