Ramon Crater/Makhtesh is located at the peak of Mount Negev and there is a small town Mitzpe Ramon located on the northern edge of the crater. It is considered to be the world’s largest makhtesh: 40 km long, 2-10 km wide and 500 meters deep. It contains different kinds of rocks, including red and yellow clay hills. You can meet there Nubian Ibexes.
