The site is located at the western end of the province of Hainaut , constituting an enclave between the French border and Flanders sandy- loamy , south of the Collines region. It is located in the floodplain of the River Lys flowing 1km south of the brick above the confluence of the Lys and Deûle . The site is crossed by a small tributary of the right bank of the Lys, the Rabèque .
