The marine turtles are very old reptiles with air breathing. They are present on ground since 110 million years! There exist 7 species in the world, which one finds in all the oceans, tropical warm waters and even in Arctic cool waters. One observes 4 different species in Gabon: the turtles Luth, Green turtles, overlapping turtles and olive-greenish turtles. All these species are in danger of world extinction, their manpower are in fulgurating fall and their disappearance could be imminent if we do not work for their protection.
