This Islay from the air video with the GoPro camera on the DJI Phantom quadcopter takes us to Port Charlotte on the Rhinns of Islay.
Having arrived at Port Charlotte pier we take off and fly out over Loch Indaal towards the lighthouse. Flying over the village the sights include the former Loch Indaal distillery (now the Youth Hostel / Islay Natural History Trust), the warehouses now used by Bruichladdich, the Port Charlotte Hotel and of course the pier. Flying at higher elevations the view stretches over large parts of the Rhinns to the south and to the north. In the distance we can spot the Oa in the south east, to the north east the Paps of Jura can be seen if you look closely.
