When I was a kid, my Dad and I used to drive out to this location with our pet Cocker Spaniel ‘Goldie’. There is a beautiful beach just beside this and we would walk our dog there and she would run in and out of the sea, generally having a great time. Afterwards we would walk down to the end of the South Wall to the Poolbeg Lighthouse and back again. Sadly, my Dad and our pet dog have long since passed away but I still often walk there and think about the great times the 3 of us spend together walking this route.
