Crossing the city

  1. Once you got the drone on a certain height Is it capable to stay still in the air without strougles or you have to control it any second ? I mean is it dificult to maintain the drone stopped in the air up there ?

  2. listen to how loud and obnoxious those trains are! If they need to blow whistles that loudly in neighborhoods for safety, then they aren't safe operating at all! European trains don't make such a loud racket disturbing the peace and quiet of the community; why do U.S. trains? Well, it's because it cheaper to blow a whistle, then for the railroads to build proper grade crossing and reliable gate systems! Its that simple. MONEY over real safety!

  3. As with everyone else, I'm impressed with this footage. Well done and please also have footage of the towns where you take this. As someone from Australia, I doubt I will ever get to see you place in real life. So it's wonderful to have this idea of how and where you live. It may not be very exotic to you, but for me, very interesting! Thanks.

  4. Awesome videos with the drones. Shots that could not be gotten any other way. But please everyone be aware that drone law is in a gray area at this time. For example if a drone is over private property it CANNOT be shot down legally. There are harassment legalities that may come into play however. The 1st one of these that touches a locomotive or rolling stock and/or causes "damage" is going to unleash a proverbial poopstorm on railfanning in general. As a community we need to self police and exercise restraint. I suggest a minimum 25' altitude above railroad "property" at all times. You know they've got the money to ramrod whatever legislation against us if they want. These types of videos are incredible and valuable documentation. We need to ensure that they keep coming.
