Runcorn Railway Bridge (also known as the Ethelfleda Bridge or the Britannia Bridge) & Silver Jubilee Road Bridge, Runcorn Gap, River Mersey, between Runcorn and Widnes.
Looking north from Runcorn to Widnes.
Opened in 1961 as a replacement for the Widnes-Runcorn Transporter Bridge (for the use of road traffic).
It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.
Runcorn Railway Bridge runs parallel (also a Grade II listed building), opened in 1868.
Both bridges span the River Mersey and the Manchester Ship Canal (which can be seen curving towards Runcorn Docks).
