Bargerveen Nature Reserve is a nature reserve in the Dutch province of Drenthe that has been included in the Natura 2000 ecological network.[3] Since 2006 it is part of the Internationaler Naturpark Bourtanger Moor-Bargerveen (engl. Bourtanger Moor-Bargerveen International Nature Park), a nature reserve located on both sides of the border between the Netherlands and Germany
Ride with the forester or a guide from Staatsbosbeheer in the Veenland Express through the Bargerveen and Oosterbos. This unique double-deck wagon offers space for 60 people and is also accessible for disabled people. Along the way, the forester tells about the area and the plants and animals that live there, such as snakes, carnivorous plants and many bird species. And on the way you can stop for a cup of coffee or a meal in the peat.
