Rio Chico

Rio Chico is a Venezuelan city located in east-central Miranda state, Venezuela, located in the region known as Barlovento. It is the capital of the Paez municipality. It is located 4 msnm. Its average annual temperature is 27 C. The population was formed in the eighteenth century, with blacks brought from Africa (African Descent) to work as slaves in the many cocoa farms that were founded in the area. In 1792 the parish church stands.
